Summerville and Bret Harte are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Bullfrogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bret Harte took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Summerville, who comes in off a win.

Summerville will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Linden, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bears walked away with an 8-4 win over the Lions on Tuesday.

Madelyn Nikiforuk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Nikiforuk was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Leia Flores was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Madison Kaiser also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Bret Harte scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 23-14 to Big Valley Christian. The Bullfrogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Kaliana Erdman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Delaney Dickson, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Bret Harte's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Summerville, their record is now 8-11.

Summerville couldn't quite get it done against Bret Harte when the teams last played on April 9th as they fell 9-4. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
