Softball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. Graham Red Devils

Northwood is a perfect 3-0 against Graham since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Northwood Chargers will host the Graham Red Devils at 6:00 p.m.

Northwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Graham on Friday as Northwood made off with a 19-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Jasmine Wichowski made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makenna Lux, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Allison Bryant was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Northwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .684. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
