Basketball Game Preview: Bloomer Blackhawks vs. McDonell Central Macks

Bloomer hasn't had much luck against McDonell Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bloomer Blackhawks will welcome the McDonell Central Macks at 7:15 p.m. Bloomer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully McDonell Central likes a good challenge.

While Bloomer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Barron, posting a 68-34 victory. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-35, which was the final score in McDonell Central's tilt against Neillsville on Tuesday. The Macks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bloomer's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for McDonell Central, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Bloomer was dealt a bruising 62-35 loss at the hands of McDonell Central in their previous matchup back in January. Can Bloomer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
