Hillcrest skates past Patriot with ease

The Hillcrest Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 31 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 73-42 victory over Patriot at home. Winning may never get old, but Hillcrest sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for McKel Shedrick, who scored 34 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was his 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lillard, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and eight blocks.

Hillcrest's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for Patriot, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Hillcrest will head out on the road to face off against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Arlington's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Patriot, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norte Vista is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 70.6 points per game.
