Ticonderoga came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Saranac, but Carson Duffield wouldn't allow it. The Saranac Spartans slipped by the Ticonderoga Sentinels 45-44 on Wednesday thanks to Duffield, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds. He has become a key player for Saranac: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 3-8 otherwise.

Saranac is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points over those games. As for Ticonderoga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Saranac won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Saranac surely won't give up without a fight.
