Hylton is 1-9 against Potomac Senior since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hylton Bulldogs will face off against the Potomac Senior Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Hylton turned things around against Freedom on Tuesday. They slipped by the Eagles 52-51.

Hylton found their leader in freshman Marshall Scarborough Iv, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 26 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scarborough Iv has scored all season. Amari Butler was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Potomac Senior came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bruins 68-66.
Potomac Senior found their leader in sophomore Amani Asare, who went 11 of 23 en route to 34 points and three steals. The contest was Asare's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Medwyn Oduko Authur, who posted ten points and five boards.
Potomac Senior has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Hylton, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 2-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hylton has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Potomac Senior struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hylton took a serious blow against Potomac Senior in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 71-16. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hylton was down 40-8.
