Basketball Game Preview: Waller Bulldogs vs. Cypress Lakes Spartans

The Waller Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Cypress Lakes Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Waller has now lost 27 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 22.

On Saturday, Waller came up short against Cypress Woods and fell 62-53. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1132nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 254th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cypress Lakes beat Cypress Park 54-49 on Saturday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Waller's defeat dropped their record down to 3-31. As for Cypress Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 19-13.

Waller might still be hurting after the 58-38 loss they got from Cypress Lakes in their previous meeting back in January. Can Waller avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
