Recap: Harrison Raiders vs. McCutcheon Mavericks

The Harrison Raiders won the last time they faced the McCutcheon Mavericks, and things went their way on Friday too. Harrison strolled past McCutcheon with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. Given Harrison's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while McCutcheon is ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Malachi King continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Williams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Harrison's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1. As for McCutcheon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Harrison won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Zionsville at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Zionsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. McCutcheon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Noblesville at 11:45 a.m. on December 27th.
