Volleyball Recap: Morgan Ritten and Alyssa Pappas Secure Win for Saint Francis Catholic Academy + How To Watch

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Saint Francis Catholic Academy prevailed. They came out on top against the Taylor County Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Leading Saint Francis Catholic Academy to victory were Alyssa Pappas and Morgan Ritten. Pappas had ten digs and two aces, while Ritten had seven assists and five aces. Pappas has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Saint Francis Catholic Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Saint Francis Catholic Academy's record now sits at 9-4. As for Taylor County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Saint Francis Catholic Academy will venture away from home to challenge Oak Hall at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taylor County, they will head out to take on Jefferson County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
