Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Michigan City, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-40 loss to Culver Academies. Michigan City has struggled against Culver Academies recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Laporte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-26 loss at the hands of Clearbrook-Gonvick. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Laporte has suffered since December 21, 2023.
Michigan City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Laporte, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-21.
