Basketball Recap: Coastal Homeschool's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coastal HomeSchool had won two straight games and Micah Faith did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes strolled past the Providence Athletic Club Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 55-39 thanks in part to Faith, who went 8 of 14 en route to 24 points. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tylor Mascu?ana, who posted six points. What's more, he also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Providence Athletic Club still got an impressive performance from Sam Cargo, who earned eight points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Brody Tyler, who put up 11 points and seven boards.

Coastal HomeSchool pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.7% in those games and 23.5% outside of them. As for Providence Athletic Club, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal HomeSchool will face off against Frederica Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Coastal HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three games. As for Providence Athletic Club, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Providence Athletic Club Panthers challenge the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Providence Athletic Club is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
