Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest). Everything went their way against the Scotland Fighting Scots on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Patriots not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024.

Will Chopping made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liam Dutton, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Wiley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Pinecrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Scotland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
