Volleyball Recap: Cary Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Cary had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Athens Drive Jaguars by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Cary was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Athens Drive work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 25-27, 23-25, 15-11.

Holden Carroll had a dynamite game For Athens Drive., getting 25 digs. Those 25 digs gave Carroll a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Cary will challenge East Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Athens Drive, they will square off against Willow Spring at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
