Volleyball Recap: River Valley Raiders vs. Athens Bulldogs
River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Athens Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-15.
River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Athens, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.
River Valley and Vinton County are set to duel on Thursday. As for Athens, they will square off against Meigs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Athens is facing Meigs at the right time seeing as Meigs is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
