Basketball Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

King's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 57-43 fall against Varsity Opponent. King's Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 82-27.

Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Gavin Ruberg, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ruberg a new career-high in boards.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

King's Academy will square off against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Varsity Opponent has already played their next match, a 52-38 defeat against Bishop Miege on the 17th.
