Basketball Game Preview: Brownsville Falcons vs. Southmoreland Scotties

Brownsville hasn't had much luck against Southmoreland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Brownsville Falcons will face off against the Southmoreland Scotties at 7:00 p.m.

Brownsville is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They fell 53-45 to Frazier.

Meanwhile, Southmoreland had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over the Vikings. Given the Scotties' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Vikings are ranked 702nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southmoreland's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Brownsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Brownsville was taken down by Southmoreland 68-32 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Brownsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
