Softball Recap: Springfield Tigers vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Jackson-Milton Bluejays, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 last Friday.

Giuliana Battaglini was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Corissa Allen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jackson-Milton, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
