Volleyball Game Preview: Vaughn Eagles vs. Carrizozo Grizzlies

Vaughn is 0-8 against Carrizozo since October of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Vaughn lost 3-0 to Alamo Navajo on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-6, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Carrizozo didn't have quite enough to beat Mountainair on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Carrizozo actually scored more points across those five sets (110-107), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25, 13-25, 27-29, 15-10.

Vaughn's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Carrizozo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
