Basketball Game Preview: Donahue Catholic Shamrocks vs. Barron Collier Cougars

The Donahue Catholic Shamrocks will square off against the Barron Collier Cougars at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Donahue Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 236 points over their last three games.

On Saturday, everything came up roses for Donahue Catholic against Naples Classical as the team secured a 73-10 victory. The Shamrocks haven't had any issues with the Academy recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Isaac Loboda had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine steals. What's more, he also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Jack Kadlec was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Donahue Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Barron Collier was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 69-68 to Oasis. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (65), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Donahue Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Barron Collier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
