Softball Recap: Foothill Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Foothill extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Casa Grande. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Gauchos 8-7. Eight seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Naima Braham was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brea Olsen, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Foothill, bringing their record up to 14-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Casa Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13-1.

Looking ahead, Foothill will challenge Northgate at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. Casa Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
