Baseball Game Preview: Eastbrook Panthers vs. Eastern Comets

The Eastbrook Panthers will take on the Eastern Comets at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastbrook's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Eastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Eastbrook is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Alexandria-Monroe 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Eastern got themselves on the board against Wabash on Monday, but Wabash never followed suit. They came out on top against the Apaches by a score of 3-0.

Eastern's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cody Tarrh, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Eastbrook's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Eastern, their victory bumped their record up to 21-11.

Eastbrook suffered a grim 13-4 defeat to Eastern when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
