Volleyball Recap: St. Ursula Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Gilmour Academy on Saturday, St. Ursula Academy came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Magnificat Blue Streaks on Saturday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Streaks from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

While St. Ursula Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23.

Parker Terrill paced St. Ursula Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Terrill got some help from Lucy Waleskowski and her 40 assists. Lauren Dorger controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Ursula Academy fell to 3-1. As for Magnificat, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Ursula Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mercy McAuley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Magnificat, they are taking a road trip to face off against Walsh Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
