Soccer Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss

Vista Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Catalina Foothills Falcons, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Falcons are ranked 26th).

Vista Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Catalina Foothills, they pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Vista Grande will head out on the road to challenge Cholla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista Grande is facing Cholla at the right time seeing as Cholla is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Catalina Foothills has already played their next match (against Maricopa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
