League recap: Holm dominating on the mound for Hesperia

Mojave River league recap: 3/20/13

Mojave River's top pitcher this week was Hesperia's Travis Holm. Over the past week, he racked up one win and seven strikeouts.

Top honors in the league this week go to Serrano, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Diamondbacks beat Sultana 6-3.

Serrano boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The league boasted six .400 hitters over the past week. The group was paced by Austin Thomas, who collected two hits in three at bats for a .667 average.

Oak Hills's Kyle Callahan finished his week with seven hits, tops in the league. He is second in the league with 17 hits this year, and has a .378 batting average.



The Scorpions' Holm threw seven shutout innings in a 3-0 win over Silverado on Thursday. He struck out four, allowing six hits.

Blaise Dusing led Barstow to a win on March 19, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat Hesperia, 9-6. Over his six innings pitched he allowed four runs on five hits.
