Baseball Recap: Hernando Comes Up Short

Hernando was the 1-0 winner over Corinth when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hernando Tigers came up short against the Corinth Warriors on Thursday, falling 10-1.

Hernando got a good showing from Eli Bagley, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Bagley didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Cade Kozcka made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Hernando's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Corinth, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hernando will take on Brandon in a tournament on February 21st. As for Corinth, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Tishomingo County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
