Soccer Game Preview: Hilliard Darby vs. Bishop Watterson

The Hilliard Darby Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Watterson Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hilliard Darby challenged Thomas Worthington on Tuesday. The Panthers and the CARDINALS finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The win was a breath of fresh air for Hilliard Darby as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson kept a clean sheet against Bishop Hartley on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Bishop Watterson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Bishop Hartley are ranked 166th).

Bishop Watterson's victory bumped their record up to 11-0-2. Hilliard Darby's draw gives them a new season record of 2-8-4.

Hilliard Darby suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Bishop Watterson when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
