Baseball Recap: Wayne City Comes Up Short

Wayne City lost against Waltonville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Wayne City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Waltonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Wayne City will take on Webber at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. Waltonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
