Baseball Game Preview: King Crusaders vs. Ecorse Red Raiders

The King Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge the Ecorse Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. King has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for King after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 16-1 to Western International. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 7, 2025, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Ecorse got themselves on the board against Summit Academy North on Tuesday, but Summit Academy North never followed suit. They didn't even let Summit Academy North on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ecorse's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
