Softball Recap: Carver Has No Trouble Against Barnstable

After only two runs in their last matchup, Carver made sure to put some runs up on the board against Barnstable on Monday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Red Hawks. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for the Crusaders this season.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Chandler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Regina Silva, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

Carver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Carver's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Barnstable, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Carver didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-13 loss against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional on the 19th. As for Barnstable, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-2 defeat against Dartmouth on the 19th.
