Basketball Game Preview: Hermann Bearcats vs. Liberty Eagles

On Monday, Hermann came up short against Warrenton and fell 44-35. The contest marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty hadn't done well against Illini West recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Chargers 46-21. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Liberty, bringing their record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points on average over those games. As for Hermann, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
