Recap: Chicago Tech vs. Ellison Lions
Chicago Tech pushed their score all the way to 59 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Ellison on the road by a decisive 77-59 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chicago Tech in their matchups with Ellison: they've now lost three in a row.
Chicago Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Jonathan Harris and Micquel Triplett. Harris scored 29 points, while Triplett scored 20 points. The match was Harris' ninth in a row with at least ten points.
Chicago Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Ellison, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Chicago Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kelvyn Park at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Kelvyn Park will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Ellison, they will stay at home for another game and welcome South Shore International at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st. South Shore International will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 686th, while Ellison is ranked 185th).
