Football Recap: Bowman Academy Piles Up the Points Against North White

There's no place like home for Bowman Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the North White Vikings to the tune of 30-0 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bowman Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but King Whisenton led the charge by rushing for 74 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 144 yards and one TD. Another receiver making a difference was Quentavious Fly, who picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The win got Bowman Academy back to even at 3-3. As for North White, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Bowman Academy will host North Newton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North White, they will head out on the road to challenge South Newton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
