Basketball Game Preview: Wagner Thunderbirds vs. Glenn Grizzlies

The Wagner Thunderbirds will square off against the Glenn Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wagner is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.

Wagner is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Pieper 89-61 on Tuesday. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Warriors are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Glenn was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Lockhart 76-40. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Wagner pushed their record up to 27-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Glenn, their win bumped their record up to 17-18.

Wagner was able to grind out a solid victory over Glenn in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 54-47. Does Wagner have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glenn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
