Basketball Recap: Queensbury Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Gloversville came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Queensbury, but Mark Huffaker wouldn't allow it. The Queensbury Spartans walked away with a 59-51 win over the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons on Tuesday thanks in part to Huffaker, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Marcus Gooden, who posted 11 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Queensbury has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Gloversville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Queensbury will square off against Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gloversville, they will face off against Broadalbin-Perth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
