Meanwhile, Perryville narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Clinton 9-8. The victory was just what Perryville needed coming off of a 21-0 defeat in their prior match.
Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Perryville, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
