Soccer Game Preview: Pierce vs. Colusa

The Pierce Bears will venture away from home to take on the Colusa RedHawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colusa took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pierce, who comes in off a win.

Colusa better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Pierce really get things going. Pierce blew past Willows 3-0 on Thursday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Colusa was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Winters by a score of 1-0.

Colusa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Pierce, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Pierce came up short against Colusa in their previous matchup back in January, falling 3-1. Can Pierce avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
