Football Recap: Springport Finds Playoff Glory Versus New Lothrop + How To Watch

Springport extended their postseason success on Friday against New Lothrop. They were the clear victors by a 35-13 margin over the Hornets. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Springport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gibson Overweg led the charge by rushing for 59 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 109 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes. What's more, Overweg racked up 134.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Kaden Woyame was Overweg's top target, picking up zero receiving yards.

The win keeps Springport at an undefeated 10-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 35.0 points this season. As for New Lothrop, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
