Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pearce

Pearce came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lake Highlands Wildcats 22-0. Give the Mustangs' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

The team relied heavily on Emma Willers, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, eight RBI, and four runs. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Falk, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Pearce's victory bumped their record up to 8-12-1. As for Lake Highlands, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Pearce will challenge MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Highlands, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lake Highlands Wildcats face off against Irving Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
