Clearfield and Huntingdon are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Bison will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Clearfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Brookville, but they still walked away with a 62-56 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bison's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Raiders are ranked 238th).

Meanwhile, Huntingdon came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Bisons for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-29 win. That looming 68-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bearcats yet this season.

Clearfield better keep an eye on Elliott Guisler. He was instrumental in Huntingdon's win, shooting 57% from the field on his way to 33 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Guisler's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Carthen, who posted six points in addition to nine assists and three steals.

Huntingdon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They are 10-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Huntingdon's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Clearfield, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.

Clearfield got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in December of 2025 against Huntingdon by a conclusive 69-45 score. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
