After two games on the road, Jackson Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Hartfield Academy Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Last Tuesday, Jackson Academy faced Presbyterian Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Jackson Academy had just enough and edged Presbyterian Christian out 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Jackson Academy has posted yet this season.
Jackson Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mike Williams, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marcus Goodloe, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Hartfield Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Joseph Catholic on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 39-35 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hartfield Academy.
Jackson Academy's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-1. As for Hartfield Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-8.
Jackson Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Hartfield Academy in their previous meeting on January 9th, winning 67-54. Does Jackson Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hartfield Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
