Lincoln High extends home losing streak to six

Recap: Lincoln High Links vs. Lincoln Northeast Rockets

The Lincoln High Links's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 63-56 to Lincoln Northeast. Lincoln High has not had much luck with Lincoln Northeast recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Lincoln High lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brady Nick, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Anania Ruba, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Lincoln High struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lincoln Northeast pulled down 17 offensive rebounds.

Eli Ash was the offensive standout of the match as he scored ten points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Mowafag A abdalla was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.

Lincoln High's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Lincoln Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Lincoln High will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln Southeast is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Lincoln Northeast, they will be playing at home against Millard North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Millard North's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
