Shoemake came up big in Mesa Verde's 8-6 loss
Sadly, Isaiah Shoemake posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mesa Verde over Western Sierra Collegiate Academy on Wednesday. Shoemake was dynamite, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.
Shoemake and Mesa Verde will head out on the road to challenge Rio Linda at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Linda will enter the matchup having just beaten Union Mine, so Mesa Verde will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
