Basketball Recap: Lamesa Takes a Loss

Lamesa lost against Brownfield on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lamesa Tornadoes lost to the Brownfield Cubs at home by a 57-39 margin. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lamesa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-22. As for Brownfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-18.

Lamesa has already played their next contest (against Denver City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brownfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Coahoma at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Coahoma knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Brownfield likes a good challenge.
