Basketball Recap: Cameron Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Cameron won the last time they faced Spooner and things went their way on Friday too. The Cameron Comets walked away with a 57-44 win over the Spooner Rails. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Rails are ranked 425th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cameron's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Spooner, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Barron the next time they take the court. Spooner will head out to face Barron at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Cameron will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
