Softball Recap: Hayesville Takes a Loss

Hayesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Hiwassee Dam Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 last Tuesday.

Hayesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hiwassee Dam, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayesville will face off against Swain County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayesville's pitchers better be ready for this one: Swain County has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Hiwassee Dam, they will square off against Robbinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiwassee Dam's pitchers better be ready for this one: Robbinsville has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
