Recap: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. Western Guilford Hornets
The Southern Alamance Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They managed a 59-54 win over Western Guilford. Winning may never get old, but Southern Alamance sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Southern Alamance got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Isley out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Brouillard, who scored 17 points.
When it comes to explaining why Western Guilford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leila Henderson. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with four steals and two blocks. Star Hughes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Southern Alamance's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Western Guilford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Alamance will challenge Eastern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Guilford on the road again on Friday and play against Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. The timing is sure in Southeast Guilford's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Western Guilford has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
