Softball Recap: Pac-Five Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Pac-Five strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Sacred Hearts Academy Lancers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mauiola Zuttermeister made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Zuttermeister was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dahlia Gangano, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Natividad, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pac-Five kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Pac-Five pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sacred Hearts Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Pac-Five will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
