Soccer Recap: Apopka Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Apopka was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Oviedo Lions, falling 7-1. The Blue Darters were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Apopka's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Oviedo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apopka will face off against Winter Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oviedo, they will take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oviedo knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Freedom likes a good challenge.
