Baseball Game Preview: Millsap Bulldogs vs. Early Longhorns

For the second straight game, Millsap will face off against Early. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Millsap will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Early, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs blew past the Longhorns 11-2 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Reid Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has become a key player for Millsap: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on CR Tippie, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Carson Crouch was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Tippie wasn't the only one making solid contact: Millsap kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Bulldogs are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Early's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Millsap, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
