Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Skyline Eagles came up short against the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs and fell 77-64. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Cubs are ranked first).

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Skyline will face off against Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Monroe likes a good challenge. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, they will take on Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University of Detroit Jesuit is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Huron a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
